Fun Chocolate Dipped Grinch Wafer Cookies: Easy No Bake
Your guests’ hearts won’t grow three sizes, but they will be filled with joy when they bite into these chocolate-dipped Grinch wafer cookies. This cute and easy no-bake dessert is a colorful addition to any holiday table.
How to Make Grinch Wafer Cookies
These chocolate dipped wafer cookies are so easy to make. They are such a fun, no-bake cookie to make for Christmas. My kids love making these because they don’t take long to make, which means that they don’t have to wait too long before they can eat them. Maybe it’s just my kids, but let’s just say they are a little impatient when it comes to eating yummy treats.
Ingredients:
- 1Â package Strawberry Wafers (or your favorite flavor)
- 10 oz Ghirardelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers
- 4 drops bright green food gel
- 20Â red heart candy sprinkles
- Christmas sprinkles for topping
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or shortening)
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Double-check the instructions on the package because different sized wafers have different heating times, but here are my general guidelines.
Microwave chocolate for 1 minute and stir. Continue to heat at 30-second intervals until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Step 2: Place 4 drops of green food coloring in the melted chocolate and stir until fully mixed.
Step 3: Dip each wafer into the melted chocolate, and place on parchment paper.
Step 4: Immediately place Christmas sprinkles on top of the melted chocolate, and place one red heart on each wafer.
Let the wafers cool until the melted chocolate has set. At this point you can package up the chocolate dipped wafers in an airtight container.
These chocolate dipped Grinch wafer cookies are a fun treat to make for any holiday festivity. Make them for a cookie exchange, a school party, or a church fair. I love to package them in a pretty box to give to friends.
You can also switch-up the types of wafers you use for the recipe. I used strawberry wafers for this batch, but you can just as easily use your favorite flavored wafer. I love chocolate, so chocolate wafers are my go-to wafer if I’m making them for myself. Whatever flavor you use, I hope you enjoy making these adorable Grinch wafer cookies.
