No Bake Mickey Christmas Oreos Pops: Easy Holiday Treats
Bring the magic of Disney to your holiday table this season with Mickey Christmas Oreos. These Mickey Mouse Oreo pops are an easy no-bake dessert that are fun to make. I’ll show you how easy it is to turn regular Oreos into holiday pops. A great gift idea for any Disney lover, or kid at heart.
How to Make Mickey Christmas Oreos
When I say it’s easy to make these Mickey Christmas Oreo pops, I am not exaggerating. You only need a few ingredients, and about 30 minutes from start to finish. As a no-bake dessert, they are also a fun project for kids of any age to try.
Ingredients
- 12Â Oreos
- 12Â Mini Oreos
- ¼ cup green chocolate melting discs
- ¼ cup red chocolate melting discs
- Red, green, white sprinkles
- 24 pearl sprinkles
Steps for Making Mickey Pops
Getting started and preparing the ingredients:
- Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange 12 Oreos on the parchment paper.
- Take 12 mini Oreos and scrape the cream from the inside. This gives you 24 mini Oreo cookie wafers that will be used as the Mickey Mouse ears.
- Place the red and green chocolate discs, or candy melting wafers in separate bowls. Microwave the chocolate melting discs at 30 second intervals until completely smooth. Stir after each interval, and continue heating as needed.
Decorating the Oreos:
- Dip 6 of the Oreos into the melted red chocolate, and cover half of the cookie with the melted chocolate. Then stick the popsicle stick in between the Oreo sandwich on the chocolate dipped side of the Oreo.
- Lay the chocolate dipped Oreo flat on the parchment paper.
- Repeat this process with the remaining 6 Oreos, using the green melted chocolate to cover half of each cookie.
- Take holiday sprinkles of your choice and sprinkle on the green Oreos. Be sure to do this before the melted chocolate sets.
- To give the iconic Mickey look on the red Oreos, take 2 circular pearl sprinkles and place them near the center of the red melted chocolate.
- Pour the remaining red and green melted chocolate into separate piping or sandwich bags, and snip the tips to create a small hole.
- Create a horizontal line of green melted chocolate along the edge where the red dipped chocolate on the Oreo ends. Do the same thing with the red melted chocolate and pipe along the edge of the green Oreos.
Create Mickey Mouse Ears:
To create the Mickey ears, squeeze a little chocolate on one side of the mini Oreo chocolate wafer. Stick the mini wafer in the cream of the Oreo, on the top right side of the Oreo pop, to create one Mickey ear.
Place the other half of the mini Oreo to the left. You can use the leftover melted chocolate as glue if needed. Repeat this process to make Mickey Ears on the rest of the Oreos.
Once all the Mickey Christmas Oreos are assembled and decorated, refrigerate them for 10 minutes so that the chocolate hardens. Once the chocolate has set, you can store the Oreos at room temperature in an airtight container. Or, box them up to give as a gift.
You don’t have to create pops out of these Mickey Christmas Oreos, but I think it makes them really cute. It’s also a nice way to offer the cookie to guests, or to sell at a holiday bake sale.
Wrap the cookie part of the pop with cellophane, tie it with a bow and you have a pretty holiday treat to share. The sticks also make it nice to display the Mickey Oreos standing up in a cup, or vase. But however you show them off, these Christmas Oreos are sure to please any Disney fan in your life.
