A fun school themed snack. These chocolate covered pretzels are decorated to look like applies. Perfect for a back to school treat, or teacher appreciation gift.
Prep a baking sheet or work surface with a sheet of parchment.
Tint the white fondant with the green food coloring. Use gloves to prevent tinting your hands.
Pinch off a small piece of fondant and shape into a triangular leaf shape. Set aside until ready to assemble. Make one fondant leaf for each apple pretzel.
When ready to assemble, melt the red candy melts according to the instructions on the package.
Dip the entire pretzel into the melted red candy melt to coat it thoroughly. Using a fork, scoop the pretzel out and tap the excess on the side of the bowl.
Place the dipped pretzel on the parchment and immediately place the fondant leaf. Repeat with remaining pretzels.
Allow to set until hardened, about 10 minutes.
