Make Chocolate Covered Oreos With Peanut Butter: Easy Gift
Turn a plain Oreo into a pretty and delicious treat with these chocolate covered Oreos with peanut butter. An Oreo cookie covered in chocolate and topped with a peanut butter drizzle and Reese’s Pieces candies. Such a simple dessert to make, but one that delivers on looks, flavor, and versatility.
About Chocolate Covered Oreos with Peanut Butter
These Oreos with peanut butter are an easy no-bake dessert. All you need are your favorite Oreos, peanut butter, chocolate, and Reese’s Pieces candies.
You can use any type of chocolate you’d like, or you can use candy melts, but I prefer milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate, or dark chocolate. Ghirardelli chocolate melts work really well, and you can’t beat the flavor of Ghirardelli chocolate.
If you don’t have Reese’s Pieces candy on hand, you could substitute peanut butter M&Ms in regular or seasonal colors. You could also use chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter cups.
Here are the ingredients needed.
- 10 oz Ghirardelli’s milk chocolate melting wafer
- 6 Oreo cookies
- 1 box Reese’s pieces
- 4 Tablespoons peanut butter
Step by Step With Photos
Start by melting the chocolate. If you’re using candy melts, follow the directions on the package. Otherwise, place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between intervals. Continue until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Place some chocolate in the bottom of each of the Oreo molds. Place an Oreo on top of the chocolate. Add more melted chocolate on top of the Oreos, covering the cookies completely. Place the chocolate-covered Oreos in the refrigerator or freezer for 10 minutes until hard.
Remove the chocolate covered Oreos from the mold.
Melt 4 Tablespoons of creamy peanut butter in the microwave for 45 seconds. Transfer to a piping bag. Snip the end and drizzle the peanut butter over the Oreos.
Immediately top the chocolate covered Oreos with peanut butter with Reese’s Pieces, or any other toppings you’d like. You need to add the toppings before the peanut butter hardens. Once the toppings have set, the Oreos are ready to serve, or to place in an airtight container.
These chocolate covered Oreos with peanut butter are such an easy treat to make. Whether you’re trying to satisfy a craving, or need an easy no-bake dessert for a party, these Oreos are a quick and satisfying choice. And since Reese’s Pieces are yellow and orange, I love making these Oreos when I need a fall dessert. They also make pretty gifts, and are perfect when you need an easy dessert to bring to a party.
I love making Oreos With a Mold because it makes the chocolate covered Oreos look so professional. But you can skip the mold if you don’t have one.
